Cinematic, documentary-led wedding films with a calm, honest feel. Based in Cheshire, and filming regularly throughout Shropshire, I focus on real emotion - capturing the moments you didn’t even realise were happening.
You don’t want a wedding film that just shows how everything looked on the day — you want something that actually brings you back to how it all felt. The people. The warmth. The energy. The little in-between moments you didn’t even notice happening.
If you care more about honesty than perfectly-posed choreography — we’re aligned. You don’t want to perform for a camera crew. You just want to be yourselves, be present, and have it captured in a way that feels real and cinematic.
The heart of your day is your people — the way your closest friends laugh with you, the way your parents look at you, the way the room shifts when everything suddenly goes quiet. That’s the story worth preserving.
Whether you’re getting married under the beams at a barn near Market Drayton, somewhere tucked between rolling fields in South Shropshire, or celebrating lakeside at a secluded country venue — the location is just the canvas. What matters most… is the feeling.
Maybe you’re writing your own vows, keeping it intentionally intimate, or planning a full-weekend celebration instead of a traditional one-day timeline.
You’re not looking for staged perfection — you’re looking for connection. Someone who knows when to step close — and when to disappear.
For couples who want a film that feels lived — not staged.

Read their storyHonest words from the people whose stories we’ve captured.
“Tom felt more like a friend than a filmmaker. He blended into our day and somehow caught every little glance and moment without us even noticing. Watching our film back, it feels like living our wedding all over again.”
Amy & Jake, Renaissance Hall, Keltnam
“The light, the music, the way everything flowed — it’s like a movie, but it’s ours. Tom has such an eye for storytelling; every frame feels meaningful.”
Mark & Suzy, Sandhole Oak Barn, Cheshire
“We wanted a film that didn’t feel staged or cheesy — just real. Tom completely understood that. Our family cried watching it. It’s everything we hoped for and more.”
Josh & George, Lake District Wedding

Timing is everything.
Golden hour in the Shropshire countryside hits differently — wide fields, rolling light, soft edges. Build 15–20 minutes into your timeline around sunset and you’ll get natural, cinematic portraits without disappearing for ages. It doesn’t need to be posed or awkward — just a quiet breather together when the light is magic.
Choose spaces that feel like “you”.
Whether it’s a barn near Ludlow, a country house outside Shrewsbury, or a marquee in the hills, the venue doesn’t matter as much as how it feels. The most meaningful footage always comes from environments where people are relaxed — not staged. Comfort always looks better on camera than design.
Keep the day flowing — don’t over-schedule.
The best Shropshire weddings I’ve filmed have space. Space for conversations. Space for laughter. Space for things to unfold naturally. Leave buffer zones in the timeline instead of packing it tight — it keeps the energy warm and lets moments breathe on their own.
Answers to questions couples often ask before they book.
Q: Do you cover weddings anywhere in Shropshire?
A: Yes. Whether it’s a countryside barn near Ludlow, a riverside venue around Shrewsbury, or a family farm in the hills, I travel across Shropshire and the surrounding counties.
Q: Will you direct us or pose us all day?
A: No. I work documentary-first. I only step in if you genuinely need a little guidance or timing help — otherwise I capture things as they unfold naturally.
Q: What cameras do you film with?
A: Sony cinema-focused bodies — and fast prime lenses. It keeps everything clean, cinematic, and great in low light.
Q: Can we still get beautiful shots if the weather turns grey?
A: Absolutely. Shropshire’s landscape still photographs beautifully in overcast conditions — soft cloud actually gives flattering skin tones.
Q: How long do you stay on the day?
A: I stay through the story — not to a clock. Typically from prep through to the “last energy shift” of the party.
Q: Will we need loads of time away from our guests?
A: No. I aim to keep portraits fast, relaxed and natural. 10–20 minutes around sunset is often enough.
Q: Do you use drones?
A: When conditions and airspace allow — yes. Aerial establishing shots can add a sense of place without taking you away from the day.
Q: Do you record audio for vows and speeches?
A: Yes — pro audio recorders are always used for ceremony and speeches. Clean narrative is a huge part of my films.
Q: How long does the final film take to deliver?
A: Usually between 6–10 weeks depending on the season and edit queue.
Q: Can we choose the music?
A: You can give me a direction or vibe — I’ll license the perfect music legally so your film can actually be shared publicly.
